Train-Into Tatnall Camp The Algoma Central Railway (CN) provides a 2 hour train ride out of Hawk Junction or an 8 hour ride out of Sault Ste. Marie. Two Hour Train Ride A 2 hour train ride is also available out of the small village of Hawk Junction. Spectacular views of Lake Superior's rugged coastline will be the highlight of your 150 mile (2.5 hour) drive from Sault Ste. Marie to Wawa, "Land of the Big Goose." From Wawa you take Highway 101 and travel another twenty minutes to the train station at Hawk Junction where you purchase your tickets. Upon arrival at Mile 215.5 you will be greeted by your hosts and a brief boat ride across Oba Lake takes you to Camp. Most of our guests prefer this route, as the drive up provides spectacular views of the Lake Superior coastline. Eight Hour Train Ride An 8 hour train ride begins at the station in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (Tour Of The Line). From there you will view breathtaking scenery including the majestic Agawa Canyon, pristine lakes and rivers, cascading waterfalls, awesome granite rock formations and the mixed forest of the Canadian Shield.
