Fishing Opportunities on Oba Lake
Fourteen mile long Oba Lake has many adjoining rivers and creeks which offer a natural feeding ground to a variety of fish. Guests can fish the quiet, pristine waters of the Oba River, as well as multiple nearby creeks. Or, one can fish the many rocky points, shoals, weed beds, and secluded bays throughout the lake. Lake depth varies from 8-40 feet. A lake map indicating some key hot spots will be provided.
Join us at Oba Lake for some great sport fishing. Aggressive northern pike and walleye species are plentiful; also, there is excellent jumbo perch fishing throughout the weed beds.
For those who want to hook onto a whitefish or herring, they are abundant during the June-July mayfly hatch.
With this many fish, there is bound to be something biting. Feel free to grab a lawn chair and fish off the dock. Sometimes, you can catch a meal of perch without even leaving camp.
