WILDLIFE VIEWING OPPORTUNITIES
Guests will often find themselves close to wildlife while they are fishing or exploring the lake. Examples of animals that are part of the surrounding habitat are:
- Moose
- Beaver
- Fox
- Muskrat
- Lynx
- Bear
- Otter
- Weasel
- Wolf
Sometimes, you don’t even have to leave the camp to spot wildlife! Tatnall Camp is less than a mile away from the world’s largest wildlife sanctuary–the Chapleau Game Preserve, so it is not uncommon to see a bull or a cow and calf moose with binoculars directly from the camp.
As your wilderness home on Oba Lake is only air accessible, we are blessed with a peaceful and remote wilderness setting for our guests in which wildlife are minimally impacted.
